Job Description

Marine Traffic Coordinator Coordinate and manage vessel traffic within a busy ship channel, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of commercial and marine traffic. Monitor vessel positions, communicate with ship captains, pilots, and port personnel, and make real-time operational decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining situational awareness, responding to changing traffic conditions, and adhering to established maritime safety procedures. Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to provide continuous 24/7 operational support. Duties Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, and berth assignments to maximize port efficiency and minimize delays. Monitor real-time vessel tracking data using global trade management software to ensure accurate positioning and movement updates. Collaborate with vessel agents to facilitate customs clearance processes in accordance with customs regulations compliance. Ensure adherence to transportation safety regulations during all port operations and vessel handling activities. Maintain comprehensive records of vessel movements, cargo documentation, and regulatory compliance documentation using proprietary vessel management software.
