Railserve is hiring dependable and safety-focused Rail Switching Technicians in Spiritwood to support daily rail switching operations within an industrial rail environment. This is a full-time, hands-on role critical to the safe movement, placement, and organization of railcars that support customer operations and production schedules. Learn more at Railserve Job Description Rail Switching Technicians work as part of a team to safely move, organize, and secure railcars within an active industrial rail yard. This role supports daily switching operations and helps ensure railcars are placed accurately and efficiently to meet customer and operational requirements. Employees work primarily on the ground performing switching activities, operating trackside equipment, and coordinating railcar movements. Daily responsibilities include coupling and uncoupling railcars, operating switches and hand brakes, monitoring track conditions, and communicating with crew members to ensure safe operations. This is a physically active outdoor role requiring strong attention to safety, communication, and teamwork. Previous rail experience is helpful but not required for candidates who demonstrate reliability, work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
