Summary :
Light Rail Train (LRT) Operators run NJT's River Line, providing safe, reliable, timely, and courteous service to customers. Education, Experience, and Qualifications Are twenty-one (21) years of age or older; able to read, write and speak the English language HS Diploma Possess a New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsements. Have a safe driving record that is in good standing with less than five (5) accumulated points Are available to participate in the structured training program Monday through Friday from 8:00 am -4:30 pm (perfect attendance at training is required) Pass our company's interview process, background check and physical examination to qualify for a medical certification (physical exam includes a drug and alcohol screening) Location will be in Camden, NJ At NJ Transit, you will enjoy a competitive salary and excellent benefits package: Comprehensive Family Health Insurance - Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision Flexible Spending Account Life Insurance Paid Leave Tuition Assistance Pre-Tax Commuter Benefits Plan Retirement Plans This position is deemed safety sensitive per the Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations. The DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of marijuana for any reason. It is unacceptable for any safety-sensitive employee subject to drug testing under DOT regulations to use recreational or medical marijuana. The prohibition includes any derivative of marijuana such as CBD oils, teas, etc. The use of recreational and medical marijuana is a violation of NJ TRANSIT's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy for safety-sensitive employees.
