Non-Exempt Position Summary The Traffic Control Foreman is responsible for leading field crews in the safe and efficient execution of traffic control operations. This position oversees daily job site activities, ensures compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, maintains communication with management and customers, and serves as the on-site leader responsible for crew performance, safety, and quality. The Foreman is expected to lead by example, promote a positive safety culture, and ensure all work is completed professionally, efficiently, and in accordance with company and customer expectations.

Pay & Benefits Pay:

$21.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience Company truck provided Company gas card provided Mileage reimbursement of $0.45 per mile (when applicable) Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeadership Supervise and direct assigned crew members. Conduct daily job briefings and safety discussions. Assign responsibilities based on employee skill level and project needs. Mentor and develop crew members. Promote professionalism and teamwork. Address performance concerns promptly and professionally. Safety Ensure compliance with all company safety policies. Enforce proper PPE requirements. Conduct job hazard assessments before work begins. Stop work when unsafe conditions exist. Ensure all work complies with applicable MUTCD standards, customer requirements, and company procedures. Immediately report accidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage. Participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) when requested. Traffic Control Operations Review work orders and project requirements prior to mobilization. Verify proper traffic control devices are available and in good condition. Ensure traffic control plans are implemented correctly. Monitor work zones throughout the shift for compliance and safety. Make field adjustments as necessary while maintaining compliance. Equipment Responsibilities Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Complete required DVIRs. Ensure company vehicles and equipment remain clean and serviceable. Report equipment damage or maintenance needs immediately. Secure equipment before leaving the job site. Maintain accountability for assigned tools, signs, trailers, arrow boards, and TMAs. Documentation Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time. Verify crew time records. Submit daily reports as required. Report incidents immediately. Ensure photographs and required documentation are submitted when applicable. Customer Service Serve as the primary field contact for customers. Maintain professional communication. Address customer concerns promptly. Notify management of any scope changes or customer requests. Represent Safety Compliance Solutions in a professional manner at all times. Attendance & Reliability Report to work on time and prepared. Ensure crew members arrive prepared for work. Notify management immediately of scheduling concerns. Maintain dependable attendance. Supervisory Responsibilities This position directly supervises field personnel assigned to the crew and is responsible for: Daily work assignments Performance coaching Safety enforcement Documentation of performance concerns Training new employees Reporting disciplinary concerns to management Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 2 years of traffic control experience. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain required traffic control certifications. Ability to read and interpret traffic control plans. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership skills.
