Quality Control Specialist supports the Software Support Activity (SSA) in software maintenance, requirements, and management by controlling and managing software licenses/keys, media, and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities They coordinate and complete data calls Utilize government-provided repositories to receipt, control, duplicate, and distribute software, while maintaining appropriate classified control over classified software. Gather and maintain software lifecycle management data, including licenses, repositories, and supporting documentation, such as spreadsheets, trackers, and reports, to support efficient and effective software management. Duplicate and distribute software, as allowable. Maintain appropriate classified control over classified software. Qualifications High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate. None to two (2) years of experience solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance. Possess a practical understanding of engineering/software concepts. Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards. Experience includes testing equipment/system to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely. The individual shall be able to interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens. Should have experience in computer-aided drafting (CAD), the ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.
