Position Summary:
Weighs and coordinates incoming and outgoing loads. Assists and maintain all administrative accounting and other plant duties along with scale operations.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
Track daily receipts. Inform operators of OCC and SS loads so they can inspect quality of loads. Maintain records detailing the quality of incoming and outgoing loads. Document all deduction with pictures on Google Drive. Weigh trucks in and out. Participation in safety committee and/or meetings. Cross train with other Admin/Scale Clerk. Write & reconcile peddler checks. Responsible for vendor scale checks and reconciliation. Maintaining shipping/receiving logs completely. On receiving log, add freight cost in comments section. Logging the drivers/loads on the receiving/shipping logs. Weighing loads in/out for loads shipping. Keying of all loads on the day of transfer. Notifying shipping when driver arrives to p/u outbound loads. Daily tasks (but not limited to): Reconcile all Shipping and Receiving logs, and document. Weekly tasks (but not limited to): Review, resolve and approve reports with outstanding line items. Must be able to work in varying climate. Clear understanding of safety PPE & Housekeeping policies and procedures. Must be able to work in manufacturing/plant environment. Must have flexible hours and able to work various times/days. Must be able to follow a task to completion. Understand inventory control plans. Other job-related duties as assigned. Additional warehouse floor duties as assigned.
Hiring Requirements/Preferences:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Pursuing Accounting degree or Bachelors with work experience in the accounting field. Detail oriented. Time sensitive attention to monthly reporting. Experience necessary in SAP, Excel and basic accounting principles. Experience with scale operations. Understand financial forecasting. Professional Attitude & conduct. Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed. High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times. Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required. Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
