Aerospace CMM Programmer/Quality Control Inspector 3450 Lang Road, Houston, TX 77092 $24.05 - $28.96 an hour - Full-time $24.05 - $28.96 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace CMM Programmer and Quality Control Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise dimensional inspections of aerospace components. The Aerospace CMM Programmer is responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect high-precision aerospace components and assemblies. This role ensures compliance with aerospace customer requirements, engineering specifications, and industry quality standards by developing robust inspection programs, analyzing dimensional data, and supporting continuous improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives.. Your expertise in quality control processes, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be vital in maintaining the highest level of quality assurance throughout our production cycle. Key Responsibilities Develop, program, validate, and maintain CMM inspection programs using software such as PC-DMIS. Interpret complex aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T per

, models, and specifications Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 , in-process inspections, and final acceptance inspections Generate and maintain detailed inspection reports and FAIR documentation Analyze inspection data to identify trends, process capability issues, and nonconformances Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA) for dimensional issues Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to optimize inspection strategies and manufacturability Ensure CMM machines, probes, fixtures, and related equipment are properly calibrated and maintained Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits Assist in developing inspection methods for new product introductions (NPI) Train and mentor CMM operators and quality technicians as required Maintain compliance withAS9100, NADCAP
(as applicable), customer flow-downs, and internal quality procedures Follow all safety, export control (ITAR/EAR), and data integrity requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Metrology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred 3+ years of CMM programming experience in an aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and aerospace drawing standards Experience performing AS9102 First Article Inspections Proficiency with CMM software and CAD model-based inspection Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills Ability to communicate technical information clearly with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with complex machined parts, turbine components, flight-critical hardware, or structural assemblies Familiarity with SPC, MSA, and inspection planning Experience supporting NADCAP inspections or aerospace OEM customers (Boeing, Airbus, Collins, Pratt & Whitney, etc.) Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools Programming experience with multi-axis or scanning CMM systems Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand, sit, and work in a manufacturing or inspection lab environment Visual acuity for detailed inspection of precision aerospace components Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally Exposure to moderate noise levels, temperature variations, and manufacturing equipmentPay:
