Port Dispatcher

We are seeking an experienced, reliable, full-time Port Drayage Dispatcher to join our Operations team at our offices in Tacoma, WA. Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
• Collaborate with customer service to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of clients
• Update terminal and customer systems including making appointments to pick up, load, and deliver
• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers
• Monitor conditions at the port, warehouses, and any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for time-sensitive deliveries Requirements & Skills
• High school diploma
• Minimum 1 year of previous port dispatching experience is required.
• Must be efficient with using a computer, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Docs
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Excellent knowledge of roadways throughout the area
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Must be motivated and able to work productively and efficiently in a team-focused environment, including in high pressure situations
• Experience with Truck Mate software is an asset What Do We Offer?
