Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dependable Lot Tech/Shop Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of our Automotive lot and shop area. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a smooth operation, assist with vehicle movements, and support customer service efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced automotive environment. Responsibilities Maintain shop flow by organizing and moving vehicles throughout the lot and service bays Position vehicles as needed for technicians Receive incoming parts deliveries Stock and organize parts on shelves by job Deliver parts directly to technicians when vehicles are actively being serviced Process and return parts as needed Assist with general shop cleanliness and organization when caught up on lot duties Clean and organize shop to help technicians Ensure vehicles are handled safely and professionally at all times Assist with the movement, parking, and retrieval of vehicles on the lot, ensuring proper placement and safety. Support shop operations by organizing supplies, and receive parts(bring to technician upon arrival), maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. Help with vehicle cleaning, detailing, and basic maintenance tasks as needed. Drive vehicles within the dealership premises using manual transmission and adhere to all safety protocols. Communicate effectively with team members regarding vehicle status updates or customer requests to ensure seamless service delivery. Qualifications Valid driver's license with experience driving manual transmission vehicles. (clean driving record required) Strong communication skills and a positive attitude when interacting with guests and team members. Previous dealership or retail experience is a plus, especially in roles involving guest services or vehicle handling. Ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. (Consistently up to 50-75lbs) Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work on your feet and stay active throughout the day Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Automotive shop experience is a plus, but not required Must be 21+ years old We're looking for someone who: Takes initiative without needing constant direction Understands the importance of efficiency in a shop environment Works well with technicians and service staff Has pride in keeping things neat and organized
