JOB SUMMARY

This part-time seasonal field position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Three Sisters Springs Center. The Parking Lot Attendant is expected to represent the organization in a positive and professional manner. Attendants should remain courteous, approachable, and attentive while assisting visitors and addressing questions or concerns. The Parking Lot Attendant is responsible for assisting visitors with parking, directing traffic, and maintaining safe and organized parking areas. Duties include parking management, customer service, directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, maintaining cleanliness and safety of public areas, and enforcing applicable City rules, regulations, and policies. The Parking Lot Attendant position plays an important role in ensuring an efficient and positive experience for visitors to the Three Sisters Springs Wildlife Refuge. Work performed is primarily outdoors and requires regular interaction with the public in varying weather conditions. The attendant is required to stand or walk for extended periods and work during the weekends, holidays, peak visitation periods and special events as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct and manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow in city-owned parking lots. Safely and efficiently guide drivers into available parking spaces. Provide customer service to visitors including directions and additional parking areas in the city. Monitor parking areas for safety concerns, hazards, accidents, or incidents and promptly report issues to the appropriate supervisor. Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding parking availability, capacity, traffic conditions, and operational concerns. Maintain professional interaction with residents, tourists, vendors, and partner agencies while maintaining an orderly, safe, and welcoming parking environment. Perform light maintenance and custodial duties including trash removal, cleaning, and minor upkeep of facilities. Follow all applicable safety procedures, operational guidelines, and instructions provided by supervisors. Provide assistance during emergencies, evacuations, storms, or public safety incidents. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED preferred. Customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, remain calm and professional in busy or high-traffic situations. Ability to provide clear directions and information to visitors. Awareness of personal, pedestrian, and vehicle safety. Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with supervisors and team members. Previous customer service, parking, traffic control, or tourism experience is preferred but not required. Employer will conduct background check, drug screening and MVR check.

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES

Valid Florida Driver License for required travel.

PHYICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors and remain active for prolonged periods in Florida weather conditions. Ability to bend, stoop, climb, walk, point and direct.

WORK SCHEDULE

Part Time, Seasonal SALARY:
