Garage Attendant / Garage Hiker / Valet Currently hiring for three positions starting January 1st, 2027. The vacancies are due to retirements and moving out of state.

SUMMARY:

To park, stage and retrieve cars for monthly and guest parkers. To comply with the garage procedures for both monthly and guest parking, including use automated systems, parking tickets and validation stickers. To wash interior and exterior of cars, as assigned. To monitor and secure garage and parking areas. To inspect cars for previous damage and complete report forms. To clean garage and office areas as assigned. To perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and work within Association work rules. To assist residents as required.

PERFORMANCE & JOB SKILLS

Maintain and have a valid Illinois driver's license. Ability to drive automatic, standard and 4-wheel drive vehicles. Knowledge of electric automobile operation Ability to walk up and down staircases, and garage ramps. Ability to read, write, speak & understand English language. Basic understanding of the operation of American and foreign made automobiles. Ability to understand and work with Association garage automation, training provided as needed. Good customer service skills and interpersonal communication

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum six months professional driving experience, in a private or public setting Pass pre-employment background check Pass pre-employment drug screening Pass pre-employment MVR screening Become a member of Local 727, Teamster's Union by or after the 31st day of employment

COMPENSATION

Starting salary of $17.35 and up, commensurate with experience and position Local 727 benefits: Health & Welfare, Pension, Legal Fund paid by employer 9 paid holidays 10 sick or personal days Paid vacation after 1 year, per union contract
