POSITION SUMMARY
The Common Area Attendant maintains all inside and assigned outdoor public areas of the location and interacts with guests in a manner that promotes a positive impression of the staff and property. This position creates a comfortable, clean guest environment, contributing to guest satisfaction and the success of the location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Common Area Attendant:
Clean and maintain assigned interior and exterior common areas. Replenish supplies where needed. Empty trash and maintain public-space cleanliness. Report maintenance needs promptly. Communicate with housekeeping or Front Desk regarding cleaning needs.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
The Common Area Attendant may also: Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth property operations and cleanliness. Assist the housekeeping team as needed. Uses phone to track/monitor room cleans through the location's computer program. Pre and post-storm preparations.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Reliable with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
No formal education requirements. Experience preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Understanding of cleaning procedures. Basic communication skills. Excellent customer services skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to push/pull carts and equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoor/outdoor work in various weather conditions. Weekend and holiday availability required.
