Job Description

Position requires an individual who can accept responsibility and is excellent at dealing with the public. Individuals assigned to this position will assist members and guests of the Marsh Center, provide customer service to walk-in and phone-in customers, handle Point of Sale transactions, register clients for new memberships and renewals, and other miscellaneous tasks. Front Desk personnel are under the direction of the Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for efficient, daily customer service. Responsible for opening and closing the center. Responsible for maintaining a clean and pleasant environment at the center. Responsible for knowing all programs and services provided at the facility. Communicates problems and concerns relating to programs and services directly to the assistant manager and/or manager of the facility. Assist members and other individuals with any questions. Provides information and assistance to members, guests and staff regarding center policies and procedures. Knowledge of all center activities including, but not limited to, swimming, tennis, general fitness, and batting cages. Completes required forms relating to memberships, injuries, complaints, requests, etc. occurring during shift. Provide accurate point of sale and other financial transactions, reconciliations, and deposits.
Other Job Functions:
Communicates problems/concerns/complaints from members to the manager and/or assistant manager on a daily basis. Preforms other duties, and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A commitment to and belief in the organization's shared values. Strong customer service background. Ability to handle customer concerns and assist with customer needs. Knowledge of cash and credit handling operations.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous health club, customer service, or related facility experience. CPR and first aid certification.
Knowledge of:
Windows operating systems RecTrac.
Skilled in:
Dealing with customers effectively.
Ability to:
Communicate effectively. Learn center policies, programs, software and practices.
