About JCI Johnston County Industries, Inc. Position Overview We are looking for a friendly and dependable Train Station Attendant to help provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for passengers. This position provides customer service, monitors train activity, maintains the station, and assists passengers with station and platform needs. Essential Duties Greet passengers and provide information about train schedules, routes, and station facilities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized station, including platforms, restrooms, and waiting areas. Sweep, mop, dust, empty trash, and complete other cleaning duties as needed. Call Amtrak hourly to verify train status and make train status and safety announcements using the intercom. Escort customers to the outside platform when needed. Maintain an accurate count of train arrivals and departures. Follow JCI safety policies and written Selma Train Station procedures, including building security procedures. Communicate professionally and respectfully with passengers, coworkers, and supervisors. Maintain good attendance and follow procedures for reporting absences. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Dependable with good attendance. Friendly and customer-focused with the ability to interact professionally with the public. Able to communicate clearly with passengers, coworkers, and supervisors. Basic math skills and ability to handle simple transactions. Able to follow written procedures and established safety guidelines. Bilingual skills are a plus. Previous work experience is preferred. Occupational Demands Must be able to complete assigned tasks and lift up to 25 pounds regularly. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors. Work assignments and daily duties may vary.
