Job Description

Job Title:
Lot Attendant (25-40 hours a week) Our used car dealership is looking to fill the positions of Lot Attendant/General Help. This would either be two part-time positions or the possibility of full-time with overtime for one person, fulfilling both roles. •
Lot Attendant Job Summary:
Oversees vehicles in the dealership, keeping track of incoming and outgoing inventory of vehicles, moving vehicles around the lot and to service centers, as needed, and maintains the cleanliness of the lot. Prepare vehicles for customer test drives. Will pick up/deliver parts at supply houses, and/or vehicles to/from service centers. A clean driver's license is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Keep track of car inventory, their location (whether in service or front line), and their corresponding record folders.
  • Move and park cars to maximize the use of space and maintain lot in order, or moving them to service locations, onsite and offsite.
  • Pick-up/deliver parts to supply houses and service stations.
  • Greet customers, give them keys, take in license information and prepare vehicles for test drives.
  • Compare vehicles brought in against VIN information provided in purchase receipts.
  • Key, car, and tag inventory daily.
  • Cleans driveways and sidewalks from leaves, snow, debris, as seasons necessitate.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation for work.
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction from management.
  • Experience with manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
Job Title:
General Help (10-15 hours a week)
General Help Job Summary:
Maintains cleanliness and organization of office work/break areas in the building. Light filing may be required. Assists with the different departments, where needed, sales, title management, lot management, parts/vehicle pick-ups/drop-offs, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain work/break areas of the dealership.
  • Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and letting Office Manager know when resupply is needed.
  • Filing paperwork properly into customer and vehicle records.
  • Inventory management of marketing materials, showroom materials, and office supplies.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation for work.
  • Driver's license, preferred.
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction from management.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Both positions above, as with all positions of the company, are expected to learn the different departments, to assist where help is needed, during busy times.
All positions are expected to greet the customer, supply keys for viewing cars, take in information for test drives and sales calls, and help maintain the office in a clean and presentable state.
