JOB DESCRIPTION
The Lot Attendant is responsible for maintaining the order, cleanliness, and display of the dealership lots, facilities and the vehicles on them. The position also cleans vehicles for delivery to customers and as required by sales managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and every team member is expected to follow the Everyday HERO (Helpful, Exceeds expectations, Represents us well, takes Ownership) program in every aspect of their role. Ensures that all inventory is properly displayed on the lot and in the showroom at all times. Re-arranges the front line inventory daily to provide the greatest curb appeal and vehicle awareness. Ensures that open spaces are filled immediately. Ensures that all lines are uniform. Ensure that proper (required) forms and / or stickers are displayed properly. Thoroughly inspects and starts every vehicle on the lot once a week and corrects any cleanliness or reconditioning issues immediately. Logs all issues with the pre-owned sales manager if it is beyond the lot attendants' ability to correct or get corrected. Remove any vehicles that require significant reconditioning requirements from the retail lot until such time that they meet the minimum reconditioning standards. Log all reconditioning requests for time-to-resolution tracking. Rearranges the entire inventory on the first of the month according to instructions received from Sales Management. The Lot Attendant must be proactive in requesting these instructions on the first day of the month. Thoroughly cleans vehicles purchased when the Detailer is backed up or not at the dealership. Ensuring that our guests are taken care of properly takes precedence over other activities. Apply interior and exterior protectant products (currently 3M Scotchguard) when purchased by customers. Put gas in vehicles as required. Meticulously inspect vehicles delivered via freight and report all problems (no matter how minor) to the delivery company and management immediately. Maintains display products (i.e. - balloons, flags, etc). Continually polices the lot and ensures it is free of all trash. Assist in transportation of vehicles, team members, and guests as instructed by sales management. Maintains stock of dealership branded license plates, license plate frames, adhesive stickers, key boxes, key tags, frequency transmitter-blocking boxes, balloons, flags and other similar products. Alerts sales management in ample time to order replenishments. Clean all Courtesy Transportation Program (CTP) loaner vehicles, service shuttle, and other dealership-owned vehicles as needed but a minimum of once per week. Maintains car wash in accordance to instructions by the car wash maintenance company. Checks the dumpster enclosure inside and out daily and corrects any cleanliness issues. Assists dealership with special displays and the storage of products for such displays. Other facility maintenance tasks as needed. Any other activates that contribute to the profitability of the dealership or that are assigned by management.
LOT ATTENDANT EXPECTATIONS
Be safe at all times. Take care of our guests. Ensure the lots, the dealership's inventory and dealership facilities are the best they can be at all times. Request additional work from sales management in the event you run out of specific tasks. Maintain a clean work area. Properly represent Wilson County Chevrolet Buick GMC Hyundai at all times.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The physical requirements and conditions will vary from day to day. The job may require standing for extended periods (up to the entire shift) and other times being out in the community for extended periods (again up to the entire shift). Time may be spent outdoors regardless of weather conditions and driving will be required at times regardless of weather conditions.
