We are seeking applicants that are interested in becoming Kayak Rental Attendant! Becoming an Kayak Rental Attendant with Lonestar can be rewarding and fun! As a Kayak Rental Attendant the primary role of this position is to assist customers in renting kayak and paddleboard equipment. We create a safe and fun experience for all customers that want to enjoy these watersports in a professional manner. Safety is our number one priority when renting equipment so a person in this role must be willing and able to ensure safety. This position is fun and rewarding since we are located on the water with amazing views and always meeting new people. Outgoing personalities and the ability to work with others as a team is important in this role. The Kayak Rental Attendant position is mainly outdoors, but may be asked to work at the Gear Shop and facilitate bicycle and golf cart rentals as well. There are guided kayaking tour opportunities. A Kayak Rental Attendant is allowed to guide tours once properly trained. These tours offer a flat fee plus hourly wages. There are opportunities for growth upon completing one full calendar year of employment without any disciplinary action. The Kayak Rental Attendant will get their first pay increase once training is completed. As an Rental Attendant, here are the core job responsibilities and requirements: Outdoor passionate and driven. Comfortable around water and ability to swim. Ability to lead and show confidence in an outdoor environment. CPR Certification preferred, but not required. Boaters Online Course Ability to know how to swim. Ability to lift heavy objects. (65 lbs) Show up on time, no tardiness. (Customers depend on you) Charismatic personality and friendly attitude towards others. Ability to work with a team and also by yourself at times. Understand and learn product knowledge and safety. Willingness to learn information and educate customers. Strong customer service skills. Instruct customers on how to paddle with a short lesson. Provide assistance with gear fitting. Answering customer questions directly. Acting as a trusted resource that customers can rely on. Launching out and retrieving in kayaks and paddleboards. Ability to work outdoors. Retrieving paddle gear from customers. Loading and Unloading gear. There will be occasions that there might be assignments that would need to be done around the park that we operate from. Paid Training Available! Applicants do not need to have experience in this field to apply. We are seeking applicants ready to train and get started. Uniforms are provided at no cost to the applicant.
