Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $15.00 - $19.50/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Overview Valet Attendants will provide Valet services to safely and efficiently move guest vehicles to a designation location in compliance with company policies and procedures. Provide excellent customer service and assistance to guests utilizing Valet Services as well as assisting to and from vehicle, locating wheelchairs, providing directions, and offering shuttle services around campus. Caring for customers all in a friendly, efficient, courteous, and professional manner. What you will do Maintains positive public relations with valet customers and general public. Escorts employees, visitors, and patients as requested. Assists with transportation of guest/patients as requested. Assists patients/guest in and out of vehicles as necessary. Directs and assists patients, visitors, employees, contractors, and other members of the public to the appropriate parking areas. Directs persons to the appropriate entrance of the facility. Demonstrates the ability to work with new employee/co-workers to enhance retention and help reduce turnover of staff. Demonstrates the ability to communicate reliably and accurately with all members of the team. Demonstrates teamwork and the ability to work effectively to maintain an environment of excellence. Demonstrates behavior that reflects values consistent with RHS philosophy and "Respect" House Rules. And demonstrates behaviors that reflect "Commitment to my Co-worker". Monitors/supports personal and departmental productivity to meet needs of department, i.e., flexing hours, shift changes, time off. Provides appropriate and detailed information in rCare reports about incidents or concerns with Valet service, damage to vehicles or dissatisfied customers. Consistently demonstrates the skills needed to manage time to complete mandatory assignments, suggest ways and opportunities to manage/improve the Valet service, reduce Valet wait times and car retrieval. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred) Experience 1 year Customer Service (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job Valid Drivers License (Required) To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at https://www.riversideonline.com/careers .
