This energetic position involves outdoor work focused on trash collection, grounds maintenance, and landscaping tasks. You will ensure that common areas are kept pristine by efficiently collecting trash, performing landscape maintenance, and supporting overall property upkeep. This role offers an engaging environment where physical activity and attention to detail come together to create a positive living experience for residents. Responsibilities Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from designated community areas using appropriate tools and safety procedures Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, planting, and landscape maintenance to enhance curb appeal Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as power tools, lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems safely and effectively Identify plants, trees, and landscaping features to support horticulture efforts and ensure proper plant care Maintain safety protocols during outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries Support snow plowing or hardscape maintenance during inclement weather to keep pathways clear and accessible Assist with irrigation system inspections, repairs, and adjustments to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas Experience Prior outdoor work experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related fields preferred Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools is highly desirable Familiarity with plant identification, pesticide management, and horticulture practices beneficial Experience operating groundskeeping machinery such as mowers, trimmers, or snow plows preferred Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working outdoors in various weather conditions Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including hardscape upkeep and irrigation system management is a plus
