Position Summary:
Ensures overall appearance and cleanliness of the exterior grounds, including but not limited to streets, parking lots and garages, sidewalks, Porte cocheres, lawns, and planting beds.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Promotes superior guest service. Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani. Ensures that grounds are kept free of debris, unnecessary signs, barriers, or safety cones, clean, and well-maintained. Assists and ensures grounds attendant team is on task and completing assigned duties. Assists and ensures walkways are safe for guests and team members, including shoveling and deicing. Ensures the appropriate flow of information within the assigned departments to maximize efficiencies and consistency in all operations. Excellent team building and communication skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all team members. Ensures the cleanliness of assigned areas and creates a positive environment for guests served. Maintains inventories and ensures the timely replacement of required spare parts, units, tools, chemicals, and equipment necessary for proper operating conditions. Ensures that all equipment, materials, techniques, and procedures comply with federal, state, and local codes and regulations to the extent applicable. Receive and follow cleaning assignments as directed, including biohazards. Visually inspect and report maintenance concerns, damage, or abuse of property, and any fire or safety hazards. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD). Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment. Must have knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical safety. Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to pull and back up a trailer. Must be available to work various shifts and flexible hours. Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions. Must be able to walk, stoop, bend and lift up to 60lbs for an 8-hour shift. Must be willing to work in all outdoor conditions. Must be willing to work in a smoking environment. Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating a forklift/sweeper and small engine equipment in a janitorial environment preferred.
