Job Description
Definition:
This position is directly responsible for the transportation of the children to and from the centers.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a van to transport children to and from designated locations/centers
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle
- Assist children with boarding and exiting the van and making sure their "belongings" and "papers" are not left on the van.
- Driver is responsible for leaving the van clean each afternoon. This includes removing all miscellaneous items left by children and staff.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Keep records of trips, (provided) on DHR transportation forms
- The driver is responsible for all children being securely fastened in their seat belts at all times when van is moving.
- The driver is responsible for having all doors locked when van is moving.
- Relate pleasantly with children and parents at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass any required background checks or screenings
