Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible 14 Passenger Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of our K to Grade 5 passengers, while providing a positive and safe environment during transportation. The Leader will drive Students from our CreekStone Academy Center to the local Madison elementary schools to begin their school day. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to punctuality, and the ability to manage behavior effectively. Duties Work Monday through Friday from 6:30AM to 8:00AM. Opportunities to work more hours possible. Safely operate a van/mini-bus to transport students to and from designated locations. Ensure all passengers are seated and wearing seatbelts before departure. Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment. Monitor passenger behavior to ensure safety and compliance with rules. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding transportation schedules and any issues that arise. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Assist students in boarding and disembarking from the bus as needed. Experience Candidates should possess experience or skills in two or more of the following areas: Training with Alabama DHR in early childhood education and/or elementary education. Working with children in various capacities such as preschool, elementary school, day camps, etc. Sports coaching or theater experience that demonstrates leadership and engagement with youth. Behavior management techniques that promote a positive atmosphere on the bus. Classroom management skills that translate into effective supervision during transport. Experience which reflects an understanding of student needs.
MUST HAVES
Valid Driver's License, High School Diploma or equivalent and be at least 19 years of age. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with students and fostering a safe, supportive environment during their daily commutes.
