In this energetic role, you will operate school vans with enthusiasm and professionalism, providing a secure and comfortable journey for children to school. Your dedication to safety, excellent customer service, and adherence to transportation regulations will help foster a positive environment for students and their families. Duties Safely operate school vans and ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Transport students to school on scheduled routes. Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and emergency stop procedures when necessary. Maintain clear communication with school, regarding route changes or delays, responding quickly to traffic changes or unexpected situations. Conduct vehicle inspections before each shift to ensure vehicle safety, report any maintenance issues promptly. Uphold student discipline policies, promote positive behavior management during transit, and ensure passenger safety at all times. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations at the state and local levels. Experience working with children or in childcare settings; ability to manage student behavior effectively. Certification in first aid and CPR; training in emergency response procedures for transportation is highly desirable. Reliable, responsible attitude with quick response skills to traffic changes or emergencies; excellent customer service orientation.
