Job Description
Position Summary The Shuttle Driver is responsible for providing safe, courteous, and reliable transportation for Hampton Inn guests to and from the hotel, airport, local businesses, restaurants, attractions, and other approved destinations. The Shuttle Driver represents the hotel and is expected to provide excellent guest service at all times. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely transport hotel guests to and from approved destinations. Operate the hotel shuttle vehicle in a safe, professional, and courteous manner. Follow all traffic laws, hotel policies, and safety procedures. Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable shuttle vehicle. Complete required vehicle inspections before and after shifts. Monitor vehicle fuel levels and report maintenance or mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate shuttle logs, mileage records, and required documentation. Communicate with the Front Desk regarding guest transportation requests and shuttle schedules. Provide guests with helpful information about the hotel and surrounding area when appropriate. Maintain a professional appearance and wear the required hotel uniform. Handle guest questions and concerns courteously and refer issues to management when necessary. Maintain awareness of weather, traffic, road conditions, and other factors that may affect transportation. Follow all company policies regarding guest privacy, safety, and security. Report accidents, incidents, vehicle damage, or guest concerns to management immediately. Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management. Guest Service Expectations The Shuttle Driver should consistently provide a welcoming and professional experience by: Greeting guests warmly. Assisting guests whenever reasonably possible. Driving safely and comfortably. Being punctual and dependable. Maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Protecting guest confidentiality and personal information. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate the hotel's shuttle vehicle. Previous commercial, shuttle, hospitality, or customer-service driving experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and follow established procedures. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required. Must be dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to lift and handle guest luggage as required by the position. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Ability to enter and exit the shuttle repeatedly. Ability to assist with luggage and other guest belongings. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work Environment The Shuttle Driver works both inside the hotel and outdoors while operating the hotel shuttle.
