Coastal Express is seeking contract shuttle drivers to transport passengers to/from the airport, around the local area, and for special events. This position is a good fit for anyone in the Perdido Key, FL, Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, or Foley, AL areas looking to make extra money. How does our contractor roles work: Contractors will work in shifts during peak season and will be assigned rides based on availability during off-season months. More availability equals higher earning opportunity. In addition to day and evening options, early morning and late-night shifts and/or rides are available. The company pays for the van/shuttle, fuel, and vehicle insurance. Drivers pay for their taxi permit with Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. Drivers will interact, engage, and assist passengers, including luggage, directions, local recommendations, and general questions. Travel territory includes Pensacola, FL to Mobile, AL, and other Mobile and Baldwin County cities. In addition to gratuities paid by the customer, drivers will earn a percentage of sales paid as commission on their successfully completed trips or events.

The idea candidate:

Exceptional customer service skills Safe, consistent, dependable, positive, and patient with strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong/active listening skills and maintains customer confidentiality. Comfortable and familiar with using technology, digital software, and mobile phone applications. Available to work days, nights, and weekends - most specifically Thursday through Monday (high volume check-in/check-out and event days.) Willing to drive distances up to two-hours in a single trip.
