Job Description

Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to medical appointments and other destinations, ensuring a comfortable and timely experience. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and adherence to safety protocols. Prior experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or limousine services is highly desirable. The NEMT Driver plays a vital role in providing essential transportation services for our community, emphasizing safety, professionalism, and compassionate customer care. Responsibilities Safely transport passengers to scheduled appointments or destinations Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking when needed, providing support for those with mobility challenges Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure safety and comfort Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation routes Communicate effectively with dispatch and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger details as required. Skills Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine services is preferred Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., driver's license) with a clean driving record Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations for commercial driving Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach towards passengers needing medical transportation Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety standards are met Experience in paratransit services or school bus driving is a plus, but not required This position offers an opportunity to serve the community by providing essential transportation services while working in a dynamic and professional environment.
Pay:
Up to $25.00 per hour
