Supervisory Responsibility:
None Position Summary To transport students to and from school and other sites within designated route(s) and to ensure the safety of the student passengers while in a Kayne Eras school vehicle. Employees in this classification receive general supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the safe operation of the school vehicle and for ensuring the safety of student passengers while meeting established bus schedules. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Transport students in Kayne Eras School vans safely
Transport students & Kayne Eras students/staff on field trips to various locations (as needed)
Drives a school transportation vehicle within a prescribed route(s) in accordance with time schedules, picking up and/or dropping off students at designated stops
Understand KES Transportation guidelines
Have a basic understanding of special-needs kids and their possible behaviors
Have the ability to remain calm and focused in the case of distractions
Maintains the cleanliness of the vehicle to ensure safe operating conditions
Conduct safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily
Reports needed mechanical repairs when necessary
Be reliable and consistent Other Duties Comply with ECF's Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment.
Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements.
Regular, reliable attendance.
