Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) proudly stands as the largest expanded learning provider in San Mateo County, dedicated to empowering 6,700 TK-College students across 30 sites from East Palo Alto to Daly City. POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting our students from our East Palo Alto Clubhouse to their homes during the school year. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide transportation to BGCP students during the school year Maintain vehicle logs Perform routine vehicle safety checks Maintain cleanliness and readiness of vans Manage and uphold the rules and regulations of the parking lot during student pick-up Have familiarity with roads and be responsible for knowing travel routes and destinations Be responsible, in case of emergency, for van repairs to manage details of roadside assistance and/or towing Provide transportation for meals Uphold the rules and regulations of the parking lot during student pick-up Perform additional relevant duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 21 years old Current and valid California Drivers' license (standard class C-no special license required) Clean driving record Proof of personal auto insurance Familiarity with mechanical operations of automobiles a plus Ability to work independently and to adapt to changes in a work environment High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience with driving high school students a plus Passion for our mission and the kids we serve

LOCATION

East Palo Alto, CA Transporting students from our East Palo Alto & Redwood City Clubhouses to their homes in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Redwood City.

•8:00 pm (Work hours will vary based on student transportation needs; candidates must be flexible and adaptable to changing schedules.) Employment for June and July is not guaranteed, as the position aligns with the school calendar.

$29.00 per hour Contributing to a thriving community for youth growth: Beyond measure As part of the hiring process, BGCP requires candidates to complete a LiveScan fingerprinting, background check, and tuberculosis (TB) test.
