About the
Role:
The Driver C Class position is a critical role responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods and materials within designated routes across the North Los Angeles County. This role ensures that deliveries are executed efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational success. The driver will be expected to maintain the vehicle in excellent condition, perform routine inspections, and report any maintenance needs promptly. Effective communication with dispatchers, customers, and team members is essential to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Ultimately, this role supports the company's commitment to reliable service and safety in the transportation of goods.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating Class C vehicles in a professional setting. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety inspection procedures. Strong understanding of local and federal transportation regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with GPS and route planning software. Customer service experience to enhance communication with clients. Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting or pushing 50/100 lbs and moving cargo.
Responsibilities:
Operate a Class C vehicle, Extended Sprinter Van, to transport meals to various locations safely and efficiently. Plan and follow the most efficient routes to meet delivery schedules and deadlines. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods. Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and reports as required by company policy and regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to provide updates and resolve delivery issues. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
