Job Description

Lake Shuttle Service is seeking dependable, professional Independent Contract Drivers to transport passengers between Lake County and Orlando International Airport (MCO), Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB), and other approved destinations. The company operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Available trips are generally offered to drivers the day before service. Drivers may accept or decline individual trip opportunities based on their availability. This is not a guaranteed-hours position. A company vehicle is provided and must be picked up and returned to the designated location in Mount Dora.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely transport passengers to and from approved destinations Arrive on time for every accepted trip Review passenger, pickup, destination, and flight information before departure Monitor traffic and flight information when applicable Communicate professionally with passengers and Lake Shuttle Service Assist passengers with luggage when reasonably able Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain a clean, professional, and comfortable vehicle environment Follow company and airport pickup and drop-off procedures Immediately report delays, accidents, citations, vehicle issues, and customer concerns Pick up and return the company vehicle at the designated Mount Dora location Protect passenger information and maintain professional conduct
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 21 years old Valid Florida driver's license Acceptable motor vehicle record Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to meet the company's automobile insurance requirements Reliable transportation to and from the company vehicle location Smartphone with reliable GPS, calling, and text capabilities Strong communication and customer-service skills Professional appearance and dependable attendance Familiarity with Lake County and Central Florida roadways Ability to safely assist with passenger luggage Ability to remain calm and professional during traffic delays, flight changes, and other unexpected situations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous professional driving, airport transportation, rideshare, delivery, hospitality, or customer-service experience Familiarity with MCO and SFB pickup and drop-off areas Availability for early-morning, evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday trips
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULING
$25 per completed trip Trips are offered based on customer reservations and business needs Trip opportunities are generally provided the day before service Drivers may accept or decline individual trips No minimum number of trips or hours is guaranteed Lake Shuttle Service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week
CONTRACT STATUS
This is an independent-contractor opportunity and not a traditional employee position. Selected drivers will be required to complete the company's onboarding and screening requirements before accepting trips.
