Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Care Driver to ensure the safe, reliable, and friendly transportation of children to and from school, daycare, or extracurricular activities. This role combines responsible driving with attentive child supervision, creating a positive and secure environment for young passengers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a genuine passion for working with children. Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including school buses, shuttle vans, or limousines to transport children in accordance with traffic laws and company policies. Ensure the well-being and safety of children during transit by following proper supervision protocols. Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to verify safety features, cleanliness, and maintenance needs. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding transportation schedules or any concerns. Assist children with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring proper use of safety restraints. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition reports. Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks or report issues promptly to ensure ongoing safety and reliability. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in shuttle driving, bus driving, or limousine service preferred. Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver; familiarity with paratransit or heavy lifting is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members. Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and handle basic repairs if necessary. Knowledge of traffic laws related to school bus or commercial driving operations. Physical ability to lift children safely and perform necessary vehicle duties; comfort with heavy lifting when required. Prior experience in customer service roles involving transportation is advantageous.
