- POINCIANA/KISSIMMEEThis position operates local school transportation routes primarily in the 34758, 34759 and 34741 areas. Because of the early-morning start time and split morning/afternoon schedule, strong preference will be given to drivers who live in or very near these ZIP codes. Please consider your commute before applying. Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and maintaining a positive attitude while interacting with passengers. Duties Safely operate a van or shuttle vehicle to transport passengers to designated locations. Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and clean before and after each trip. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort and safety. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safe driving practices. Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that may occur. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Collaborate with dispatchers to coordinate schedules and routes effectively. Experience Previous experience as a Van Driver, Shuttle Driver, Delivery Driver, or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with school bus driving or paratransit services is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Experience operating larger vehicles such as limousines or buses is advantageous but not mandatory.
