•$13 - $14 per hour Number of hires for this role: 1 Full Job Description iTransport offers non-emergency medical transportation over a wide range of area with wheelchair and stretcher vehicles that transport passengers of every age group to their destination. Our commitment is to provide safe, punctual, courteous, and reliable transportation services that best fit the needs of each customer. We only employ serious and professional minded individuals who have the desire and will to meet the demands of the non-emergency medical transportation industry. We are looking for individuals that are self-motivated with a strong work ethic to join our team. As a driver and light marketer, you are responsible not for the safe transport of customers to/from appointments, treatments, and dialysis centers in a SAFE and TIMELY manner, but also share iTransport services and offerings. Must have a clean driving record! Should be capable of securing a wheelchair or stretcher properly after training. Ability to work Monday through Sunday. Clean driving record and no DUI's are required.
Physical Demands:
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing, assist wheelchair patients with standing upright, lifting patients onto stretchers.
Essential Duties:
Transporting clients utilizing company vehicle in a professional manner. Operating vehicle in a safe manner to include parking the vehicle and pulling into/out of temporary loading/unloading areas Assisting clients in getting onto the vehicle and safely inside of their respective destination Utilizing smart mobile technology to interact with dispatching staff to obtain client trip schedules, report the time of passenger pick-ups and drop-offs, as well as any changes to schedule or traffic delays. Notifying the client, if necessary, of late arrivals Reporting any incidents or accidents to the supervisor Maintaining a professional image and attitude with clients, visitors, and co-workers Operating wheelchair lifts and securing wheelchairs and stretchers in the vehicle Completing daily vehicle pre-trip inspections, and maintain vehicle cleanliness Adhering to company policies and standard operating procedures Seek new market opportunities for business growth Understand the product and services iTransport offers Must be comfortable with sharing iTransport services with facilities or individuals Must be able to lift at least 200-pound patient on a stretcher, to and from bed to stretcher with assistance. Operates non-emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions. Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth.
Required Experience:
High School diploma required Must be able to operate the hydraulic wheelchair lift to safely put a client in/off the vehicle. Must possess a valid state-issued, non-expired driver's license, and provide a current 3-year DMV printout No moving violations or "at fault" accidents within the past 3 years Ability to understand and operate smart mobile technology, GPS applications, 2-way radios, and cell phones Ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and criminal background investigation Ability to read, write, and understand English Current CPR/First Aid Certification or able to obtain within 30-days of hire Ability to physically step up and down, bend, stoop, and safely secure clients for transport, lift up to 200 lbs., and transport wheelchair clients on paved and unpaved surfaces Ability to adhere to HIPAA (confidentiality law) and client confidentiality mandates Prior experience in a transportation-related position preferred, but not required. Driver must be courteous, patient, and professional ALWAYS and clean in appearance per company's guidelines. The Transportation Driver's main role is to transport and assist our customers as needed. QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have/maintain:
a valid Driver's License, and an acceptable motor vehicle record according to departmental standard. Preferred Must consent to Background Check, Drug Screening & MVR (Motor Vehicle Records). Supplemental Pay Tips Cell Phone stipend
