Required Qualifications:
Valid Driver's license Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening Previous experience in transportation, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting Basic knowledge of wheelchair lifts and securing mobility devices Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to assist residents with mobility needs in a courteous and respectful manner
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and facility events Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including securing wheelchairs and walkers Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and facility transportation policies Communicate effectively with nursing and administrative staff regarding transportation schedules and resident needs Provide a positive and friendly experience for residents during transportation Assist with other duties as needed to support resident mobility and engagement Journey offers all care team members the Journey Advantage which includes: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Quarterly Raises PTO Free company-provided mobile phone 401k And so much more….
