Job Description

ADM is seeks dynamic drivers to provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.

Hours:

Monday through Friday 6:30-8:15a, 1:30-3:15p

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. A valid chauffeur's license to drive school van

3. Ability to lift 50 lbs

4. Completed required trainings before interacting with students

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Safety:

Compliant with all Federal and State laws and mandatory safety regulations for school buses

Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects

Notifies the transportation director in case of mechanical failure or lateness

Maintains discipline on the bus and reports any undisciplined students to the proper authority.

Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.

Transports only authorized students

Discharges students only at authorized stops

Reports all accidents and completes required reports

Current on required trainings

Operations and Communication:

Keeps to assigned bus route & schedule

Keeps assigned bus clean

Reports to work for assigned schedules

Communicates to the transportation director if late or absent

Partners with transportation director when necessary to address parents

Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips

Performs other duties as assigned

EVALUATION

Performance to be evaluated every 3 years by the transportation director
