Job Description

Our Downtown Boise Y Kids is currently seeking a long-term Shuttle Driver. This position provides safe transportation to and from program sites while maintaining a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. Work Location:
1050 West State Street, Boise, ID 83702 At the Y, we believe every child is of promise and deserves the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. The Treasure Valley Family YMCA's Child Development programs support children in their ongoing growth to ensure that they are ready for the next educational milestone, whether that be preschool, kindergarten, middle school, or high school.
Schedule:
This is a part time position averaging 5-10 hours per week. Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 2:30pm•4:00pm. Pay is $15.35•19.19/hour.
Responsibilities:
Drive YMCA shuttle vehicle safely according to YMCA policies and procedures and state laws.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and volunteers.

Create a safe environment in which others feel welcome and respected.

Ensure YMCA shuttle rules are announced and followed.

Complete thorough pre•and post-trip checks each day.

Clean out YMCA shuttle vehicle each day.

Fulfil all job requirements from CD Assistant Teacher when assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be 19 years of age or older.

Must be able to meet YMCA transportation/driving requirements. We will train you!

Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome. Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations. Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
REQUIRED LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Idaho Driver's License.

Boise City and/or Idaho State Childcare License•prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.

Pediatric CPR/AED•prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.

First Aid•prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.
