Non-emergency Driver

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and reliable Non-emergency Driver to join our dedicated transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers who require non-emergency medical or personal transportation services. Your primary focus will be providing courteous, timely, and professional service while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vehicles including vans, shuttle buses, limousines, and other client-specific transportation vehicles. Navigate local driving routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely arrivals and departures. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those requiring mobility assistance or special accommodations. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicles to ensure safety and comfort. Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns during transit. Follow all state transportation regulations, traffic laws, and company policies to guarantee safe operations at all times. Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting with luggage or mobility aids, while prioritizing passenger safety. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or in similar passenger transportation roles. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for larger vehicles) with a clean driving record. Experience operating passenger vans, medical transport vehicles, or limousine services is highly desirable. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local driving routes to optimize efficiency. Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and safety standards applicable to passenger vehicles and local transportation laws. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including assisting passengers with mobility devices or luggage. Prior experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus. Pay:
$11.00 - $12.00 per hour
