At Youth On The Move, Inc., the work is demanding—but it is meaningful. __________________________________________________ Position Summary We are seeking dependable and attentive Transportation Monitors who understand that this role goes beyond simply riding along—it is about safeguarding the well-being of every passenger entrusted to our care. Monitors are responsible for maintaining a calm, controlled environment on the vehicle, assisting passengers safely during boarding and exiting, and ensuring that all individuals are supervised, supported, and treated with dignity throughout transport. This position is well-suited for individuals who possess strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and a genuine respect for working with youth and vulnerable populations. It is an opportunity to take on a meaningful, hands-on role in community support—where your presence, attentiveness, and professionalism directly contribute to the safety, stability, and overall experience of those we serve each day. __________________________________________________ Key Responsibilities - Transportation Monitor Maintain continuous supervision of all passengers during transport, ensuring safety, order, and appropriate conduct at all times Enforce all safety protocols, including proper use of seat belts, harnesses, and wheelchair securement systems prior to and during transport Assist the Driver with the safe boarding and exiting of passengers, including those requiring mobility assistance (e.g., canes, walkers, wheelchairs) in accordance with training and procedures Monitor passenger behavior and intervene appropriately to prevent unsafe conditions or disruptions Communicate professionally and respectfully with passengers, parents/guardians, and staff while maintaining strict confidentiality of client information Observe, document, and promptly report all incidents, behavioral concerns, safety issues, or irregularities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements Support emergency response procedures, including evacuation and passenger accountability, in alignment with company training and safety protocols Conduct routine interior vehicle safety and cleanliness checks to ensure a hazard-free and suitable transport environment Adhere to all company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory standards governing the transportation of vulnerable populations Demonstrate sound judgment, situational awareness, and professionalism in all aspects of the role __________________________________________________ Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 19 years of age High School Diploma or GED required Ability to successfully pass all required background screenings, including Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination and 10-panel drug screening in accordance with company and regulatory requirements Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with passengers, families, and staff Proven reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in all situations, including high-stress or emergency conditions Physical capability to assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and mobility support, and to respond appropriately in emergency situations __________________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with youth, elderly individuals, or persons with disabilities , particularly in a care, transportation, or human services setting Willingness and ability to successfully complete First Aid and CPR certification ; training will be provided by the company Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English/Spanish or other languages) is strongly valued and considered an asset __________________________________________________ Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Youth On The Move, Inc. is committed to maintaining a workplace grounded in fairness, respect, and equal opportunity.
