Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Afternoon Tow Driver with at least two years of hands-on towing and vehicle recovery experience. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safely operating tow trucks to assist stranded or disabled vehicles, ensuring efficient vehicle recovery, and providing excellent customer service. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with flatbed and tow truck operations, and ability to manage cargo securement protocols will be essential to your success. Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to prepare vehicles for transport or roadside assistance. Secure vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to ensure safety during transit. Perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues that may affect towing or recovery operations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients and ensuring their needs are met professionally. Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle loading, cargo securement, and safe driving practices on the road. Assist in vehicle recovery towing operations, including accident scenes or breakdown situations, with confidence and precision. Requirements Minimum of two years' experience as a commercial tow driver or in automotive/mechanical repair roles involving towing. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs for trucks and cars. Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles and operating flatbed tow trucks safely. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols, vehicle mechanics specific to truck drivers, and safe vehicle loading techniques. Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging roadside situations calmly and professionally. Ability to load and unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Familiarity with vehicle recovery towing procedures and basic troubleshooting for mechanical issues.
