Transportation - Van Driver

Job Description

Facility:
Regency at Livonia The Transportation/Van Driver is responsible for the safe and secure transport of the Residents to various outings such as doctor's appointments and social outings sponsored by the facility. Further duties include maintaining transportation vehicles by performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and performing minor maintenance tasks on the vehicles. Tuition Reimbursement Student Loan Reimbursement Responsibilities:
Perform job in a safe, secure and professional manner at all times. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; performing minor maintenance tasks on the vehicles when necessary. Fuel the vehicles; ensuring that periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is completed and reported. Document customer usage and prepare trip reports. Prepare accident and incident reports as necessary. Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, providing safety briefing to residents and completes the check off. Must have mechanical skills necessary to check the vehicle to ensure it is in a safe operating condition. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday work periodically required. Ability to learn and follow City policies, regulations and transportation laws.
Requirements:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Must be a current Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) in good standing. Must possess a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement valid in the State with three years experience. Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.
