Job Posting:
Bus Driver - King's Daughters Home (KDH) This is a part time position minimum 8 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday required. Possibility for more hours as needed and on call. •Ideal opportunity for retirees!•Join our esteemed team at King's Daughters Home, where we proudly uphold over 50 years of tradition in providing high-quality care. Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Bus Driver is to safely transport residents via the KDH bus to medical appointments within the Midland region. The Bus Driver will pick up Assisted Living (AL) or Nursing Care Center (NCC) residents from either the entryway or corridors within King's Daughters Home.
Requirements:
Must hold a valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a good driving record. Must possess a current Chauffeur's License. Must be able to pass background check and drug screen. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, friends, staff, and volunteers. Read and document information as required. Follow instructions from KDH supervisors and Charge Nurses. Maintain confidentiality of resident information. Respect the Residents' Bill of Rights, especially privacy rights. Maintain neat, clean attire and personal hygiene standards suitable for healthcare settings. Physically able to lift, bend, twist, and stretch to perform job duties safely. Flexible with driving schedules to accommodate varied appointments. Safely fulfill all job responsibilities.
Examples of Responsibilities:
Transport residents to medical appointments in a safe, respectful, and dignified manner. Collaborate with the Scheduler to ensure transportation duties support resident well-being. Work with the Charge Nurse and follow the Plan of Care to ensure resident safety. Participate with the Administrator to improve the transportation program. Coordinate with CNAs to support resident well-being. Report any incidents involving residents, families, staff, or visitors. Maintain a safe, comfortable, and sanitary environment; monitor resident safety. Properly use and maintain supplies and equipment. Attend and actively participate in all-staff meetings.
