Van Driver - Waseca Schools Palmer Bus Service is hiring Van Drivers to provide safe, reliable transportation for Waseca Schools students. Looking for a part-time job that works around your schedule? Why Drive a Van for Palmer? $15-17/hour Monday-Friday schedule AM hours: approximately 6:45-8:00 AM PM hours: approximately 2:30-4:15 PM Guaranteed 2 hours of pay for the AM and PM shift No regular weekend or holiday work School-year schedule Paid training Opportunity to pick up additional hours through trips and other available work Work with a smaller group of students in a more personal setting What You'll Do As a Van Driver, you'll help students safely travel to and from school and other authorized activities. You'll be responsible for operating a school van safely, following your assigned route, and providing a positive and dependable experience for students.

Responsibilities include:

Safely transport students to and from school and assigned locations Complete required vehicle inspections before operating the van Follow all traffic laws and Palmer Bus Service safety procedures Ensure students are safely seated and secure before the vehicle is moving Maintain a safe and respectful environment for students Communicate with school and Palmer Bus Service staff as needed Complete required paperwork and report any incidents or vehicle concerns Check the vehicle at the end of each route to ensure no student remains onboard Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance needs What You Need Must be 18 years of age or older Valid Minnesota driver's license Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test Ability to obtain a DOT medical card Safe and responsible driving history Reliable attendance and transportation to work Patience and the ability to work well with students No CDL? No problem. A CDL is not required to apply for this van-driving position. Palmer Bus Service will provide the training you need to be successful.
