Overview Join our team as a Preschool Van Driver and become a vital part of ensuring safe, reliable transportation for young children. In this energetic role, you will operate a daycare van to transport students to and from school from daycare. Our dedication to safety, excellent communication skills, and enthusiasm for working with children will help create a positive and secure environment on the road. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's daily routines while developing your driving and customer service skills in a supportive setting. Responsibilities Safely operate a preschool van in accordance with traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations. Transport children to and from school, daycare, appointments, and special events while adhering to scheduled routes. Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times. Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and first aid protocols if needed. Will train. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting regular safety checks and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to provide updates or address concerns in a friendly and professional manner. Respond quickly to traffic changes or delays by adjusting routes efficiently while prioritizing passenger safety. Qualifications Valid driver's license with ability to obtain Class E. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, emergency stop procedures, and transportation safety regulations. Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly preferred. Certifications in first aid, CPR, defensive driving, and emergency response procedures are strongly desired. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse communities, but not required. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
