Monday-Saturday / 5pm-8pm This position is responsible for: Drives The Salvation Army vehicles. Transports passengers to and from activities on Sundays and other days as needed. Operates vehicles in compliance with safety standards and reports maintenance needs to management. Delivers and picks up Red Kettles during the Christmas Season.
Key Responsibilities:
Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers. Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space. Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use. Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards. Arrives at destination according to schedule or telephones ahead when severe delays occur. Cleans vehicle after use.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to communicate the English language. Work requires driving a vehicle and working outdoors where there may be physical discomforts associated with driving in heavy traffic and changes in weather.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
High School Diploma or
GED, AND
Two years' experience operating an automotive vehicle, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver's License and eligible driver status under
