Job Overview Join the QuickCourier team as an Independent Contract Driver specializing in cargo van deliveries! The contract driver will be using their own cargo van to transport hospital supplies and dialysis water across a 4-state region. This will require unloading of heavy water (30 LB boxes) from your van and into a patient's house. Responsibilities Safely operate your personal cargo van to pick up and deliver packages across designated routes. Load and unload items using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, adhering to safe lifting practices. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, following specified routes and traffic regulations. Communicate effectively using mobile devices to confirm deliveries, report issues, or update delivery statuses. Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, providing excellent customer service throughout each delivery. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure your cargo van remains in optimal condition. Requirements Valid personal vehicle with sufficient cargo space (cargo van preferred) and current registration. Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations involving manual handling and heavy lifting. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, route driving, and adherence to safety protocols. Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently. Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude at all times.
