Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Pet Chauffeur / Private Driver to provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting clients and their pets securely and comfortably, ensuring adherence to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Driving a Manual (Stick Shift) Car is Required unless you provide your own car! Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles including Manual (Stick Shift) personal cars, vans, or box trucks to transport clients and their pets. Load and unload pets and personal belongings with manual handling practices that prioritize safety and comfort. Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal performance. Plan efficient routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to meet scheduled appointments promptly. Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines, and weight handling standards during all driving activities. Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with boarding, exiting vehicles, and addressing any special needs or requests. Ensure safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items such as pet crates or luggage using appropriate manual handling equipment like pallet jacks or dollies when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier services with a focus on safe vehicle operation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment operation, and heavy lifting techniques. Knowledge of route planning, traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance, and weight handling in the workplace. Ability to operate mobile devices for navigation, communication, and route updates efficiently. Experience with box trucks, van drivers, or personal vehicle delivery is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude; excellent communication abilities are essential.
