Full-Time Private Family & Executive Driver — Roslyn, NY A private family in Roslyn, NY is seeking an experienced, professional, dependable and discreet full-time Personal & Family Driver for a long-term, year-round position. Compensation is $1,600 per week, paid weekly. The role combines executive transportation, family driving, airport transportation, errands and general household/business support. Candidates must live within approximately 20-30 minutes of Roslyn. Schedule Approximately 50 hours per week on average, although the schedule varies considerably depending on business and family needs. Flexibility is required. Some days may include daytime executive driving, after-school transportation, evening business dinners, airport runs or Saturday evening commitments. Other days may be significantly lighter. When the principal does not need daytime transportation, the driver may have limited errands or vehicle-related responsibilities and then begin the main family-driving portion of the day around 3:00 p.m. Several evening assignments may be required during a typical week for business dinners, client events or social commitments. Saturday evening availability will also be required regularly. Airport transportation may occasionally require early-morning or later-evening availability. Responsibilities Drive principal to and from Manhattan for business meetings, appointments, dinners and events. Provide transportation for the principal and spouse for evening and weekend commitments. Provide airport transportation to JFK, LaGuardia, Newark and other area airports as needed. Safely transport four children, ages 11, 10, 8 and 5, to sports practices, after-school activities, appointments, school-related commitments and other scheduled activities. Assist with reasonable family, household and executive errands during lighter periods. Responsibilities may include pickups and drop-offs, packages, shopping, dry cleaning, returns and similar errands. Keep the work vehicle clean, fueled, organized and ready for use. Assist with vehicle servicing, inspections and car washes as needed. Maintain complete professionalism, confidentiality and discretion at all times. Lighter Schedule Periods A meaningful benefit of this position is that the workload varies throughout the year. The principal and family travel regularly, and during those periods the driver's schedule is often significantly lighter while regular weekly compensation continues. During lighter travel periods, responsibilities may be limited to occasional errands, vehicle maintenance, pickups/drop-offs or other reasonable support. Summer months are also generally lighter when some of the children are away. This is a stable, year-round position and weekly compensation continues during these lighter periods. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience as a private driver, family driver, executive chauffeur or similar position. Valid New York driver's license with an excellent driving record. Strong knowledge of Long Island, Manhattan and the greater New York City area. Must live within approximately 20-30 minutes of Roslyn, NY. Excellent punctuality, reliability and judgment. Professional appearance and demeanor. Comfortable and patient transporting children. Flexible availability for evenings, airport runs and Saturday evening work. Strong professional references. Background check and motor vehicle record check will be required. Prior law enforcement, military, executive protection or security-related experience is a strong plus, but not required. Compensation & Benefits $1,600 per week, paid weekly. Full-time, year-round position. Approximately 50 hours per week on average. Two weeks of paid vacation annually. Paid vacation must be scheduled during weeks when the principal and/or family are already traveling and regular transportation duties are substantially reduced. The family typically travels several weeks throughout the year, giving the driver multiple opportunities to select the two vacation weeks. During other family travel periods, the driver remains employed at regular weekly compensation with a lighter workload. Company vehicle provided for all work-related driving.
