PROGRAM DRIVER

Looking for a reliable and dependable driver for a DODD day program located in Kent, Ohio on Route 43. This opportunity is Temporary with the opportunity to turn into a Permanent position as our company is expanding its non-Medical transport Clientele

Position Details:

Transport 5-6 individuals safely to and from the day program

Hourly Pay:

$17/hour PLUS $100 A

8:00 a.m.•8:45 a.m. Drop-Off at

Program:

9:00 a.m. Afternoon Pick-Up from

Program:

2:00 p.m. Transport individuals back to their homes Mon, Tuesday, Wed and Fridays 3•hours per day

PICK UP AND DROP OFF ONLY

Thursdays•8 hours•taking clients out in the communuity. This day is a full shift taking clients out in the community.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license, Car Insurance Clean driving record Reliable transportation Ability to pass background requirements Responsibilities Safely operate buses and other commercial vehicles for school transportation, paratransit services, or senior care programs. Follow designated routes accurately while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with passengers, including children and seniors, providing friendly assistance and behavior management when needed. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues promptly. Maintain clear documentation of trips, passenger counts, and safety checks. Foster a welcoming environment by demonstrating excellent customer service skills and multilingual communication when applicable. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially those with mobility challenges or special needs. Qualifications Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for large buses). Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles; prior school bus or paratransit experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities. Knowledge of driving safety regulations and mechanical basics for vehicle maintenance awareness. Experience working with children, seniors, or individuals requiring childcare or behavioral support. Ability to manage behavior effectively and handle emergency situations calmly. Excellent writing skills for completing logs and reports accurately.
