Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Funeral Homes Removal Technician to join our team. This position is on call during the day and is ideal for partially retiered or somone just needing xtra income. You will be responsible for safely and respectfully transporting deceased individuals from funeral homes, hospitals, or private residences to funeral facilities or other designated locations. This position offers an opportunity to serve families during their most difficult moments with professionalism, care, and dignity. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a respectful attitude towards the sensitive nature of the work. Responsibilities Safely operate various passenger vehicles including vans, limousines, and specialized funeral transport trucks to move deceased individuals. Follow all traffic laws and transportation regulations to ensure safe and timely deliveries on local routes. Communicate effectively with funeral home staff, clients, and team members to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules. Handle deceased remains with utmost respect and adhere to proper manual handling procedures to ensure dignity and safety. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure transport vehicles are in optimal condition. Maintain accurate documentation of transportation logs, delivery records, and client interactions. Provide compassionate customer service by offering support and reassurance to grieving families during transport. Qualifications Prior experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, or chauffeur is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating passenger vans, limousines, or medical transportation vehicles is preferred. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely. Familiarity with local driving routes, traffic regulations, and state transportation laws. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. Strong attention to detail for vehicle maintenance checks and documentation accuracy. Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus but not required. Pay:
$25.57 - $30.80 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 20.0 per week
