Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and safety-conscious Van Driver to provide safe and dependable transportation for residents of our assisted living community. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering excellent service, this is the perfect role for you! Duties Safely transport residents to and from scheduled appointments Assist residents with safely entering and exiting the vehicle as needed. Ensure residents are properly seated and secured before operating the vehicle. Operate the facility vehicle in a safe, courteous, and defensive manner. Follow all applicable traffic laws, facility policies, and transportation procedures. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections. Maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe, and presentable condition. Report vehicle maintenance, mechanical problems, accidents, or safety concerns promptly. Maintain accurate transportation schedules, mileage records, and required documentation. Qualifications Previous experience as a van driver, shuttle driver, senior transportation driver, or similar position preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Safe driving history and ability to meet the facility's insurance requirements. Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, families, and staff. Dependable, punctual, patient, and responsible. Ability to work independently and follow established schedules and procedures. Ability to safely assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle. Must be comfortable working with older adults and individuals with mobility limitations.
